Colorado's Wild Spring Weather

As I sit in my indoor studio during an early May hailstorm in Colorado, I am recalling a hike in the foothills exactly a year ago.  While I sat on the ground drawing a spring wildflower, the sky darkened and huge flakes of snow started falling all around me. I had to laugh when I later identified the flower: Snowball Saxifrage!  You have to love Colorado weather!
