Karen Manci Art

As an avid hiker and wildlife ecologist turned artist, I find watercolor the ideal medium to express the beauty of nature. Easily portable in a backpack, watercolor is perfect for plein air painting, but can be challenging in the quick-drying mountain air of Colorado. I use art to capture the feeling of a special moment during a hike. Absorbed in the world around me, I search for the perfect stop along a trail to paint, and then watch the essence of nature come to life on my paper.

"Racerunner" has been invited to the national juried show in Louisville, Colorado. The show runs from September 4th through September 13th. I will also have a bin of original watercolor paintings and packs of cards for sale at the show.
